Remarkably, SAFB ChIP-seq peaks, aswell as L1s, are enriched at the strengthened domain boundaries(Figures 2D, 2E, and S5D), suggesting that SAFB KO strengthensdomain boundaries at the SAFB-bound L1s. Interestingly, wefound that SAFB overexpression did not significantly strengthenthe TAD boundaries (Figures S5E and S5F), implying that eitherSAFB levels in wild-type NCCIT cells are enough to constrainthe L1-associated TAD boundaries or that SAFB is required butnot enough to repress TAD formation in human cells
